Obviously there are better quality guitars by Gibson, but the sound of the Epiphone Casino it's something no other guitar can pull off at that price. Generally it has a good value for money and it's a guitar that i'll always suggest for the people who likes The Beatles sound. Ended up with a 339 cause the feedback issue, but Id go with a normal casino over the coupe if I were going hollow body. Dont know why, but I noticed it on a few. It came down to the casino and the 339 cause I couldnt get the coupes to stay in tune very well. The full-empty-body particularity gives you the possibility of play it acusticly with a pretty good sound, unfortunately this particularity doesn't allow you to use any distortion effect because of the feedback, but you can tinker a little bit with the amp settings for the sound that you prefer. Played as many coupes, normal casinos, epi es339 p90s as I could get my hands on. The legendary P-90 pickups are perfect for a smooth clean jazz (with the neck pickup), for a dirty blues/rock 'n' roll (with the bridge pickup) and for many other sounds (if you like to play with the beautiful ore volume and the tone control of the singular pickups).
